Good Day Everyone,
It finally happened, I found my first Gold ring. And it was 9 days after finding my first Platinum ring.
Headed out late last night to the same beach where I found the platinum ring. Wind direction was perfect and the entire beach was just like an infinity pool. I felt like a pirate out there in the water searching for lost treasure. My second signal in was a great repeatable tone, dug and swung and heard nothing. Then I sift the sand out of my scoop and NOTHING. I was swinging in circles now trying to find that time again and then "bing" there it was, thank goodness. Dug down a second time and knew I had whatever it was in the scoop. I then clicked on my headlamp. When I saw that unmistakable untarnished glimpse of yellow starring back at me, I knew I had finally found gold. I picked up out of the scoop for a quick closer inspection and saw "14K". On my finger it went and I swung for another 4 hours after that and came up with lots of pull tabs and 10 quarters and 2 dimes.
I'm not sure if the weight yet, I'll have to get it checked out.
Thank you for taking the time to read my quick story on my first gold. Truly a memory that I surly won't forget.
