Yesterday and today I went to the fields where I help coach soccer at. Last year, I found a 1916 Mercury dime (no D) there, and figured I would give it a chance again since I purchased a newer detector over the winter time. I took 6 steps and found a 1933 Wheat Penny. Within the next 70 yards of walking I pulled out 2 Mercury dimes. I have now covered an area of about 30X70 yards and have found the following:
1940 Silver Quarter
2 Silver Dimes with the dates 1957 and 1959
3 Mercury Dimes with the dates 1916 (once again no D, but it has an S), 1937, and 1941
An Andrew Jackson Dollar coin, 2008
6 Wheat Pennies with the dates 1928 (I think, it's hard to see), 1933, 1938, 1940, 1944 (once again I think, hard to read), and 1954
Sterling Silver Ring (stamped 925 in the inside).
I've only covered about 1/3 of the area, so hopefully there is more to come!!
Happy hunting everybody!!!
