Not really much to speak of other then it was a pretty day on the water. The dime turned out really nice & likely the best dug river coin I've found for ware on a coin lots of detail left on it.

The coins OK, but I would be more pleased with the bottle.

What a gorgeous day Pete! Can't believe how still the water is. Looks like you had fun and even brought home some silver. Nothing wrong with that.

Thanks Cru,It's a nice one but they are kinda common around here. Here's a few I had on hand but back in my bottle digging days they would turn up quite a bit.

Take Care,
Pete,

Problem for me is I haven't bottle dug for over 20 years (The sites don't exist anymore, most have moved to diving the rivers). The odd complete bottles we now get need to survive the plough, this is rare, so we like to get them whole.

Yep I understand what your saying. It's been awhile since I bottle dug as well.I always found sites in the woods or on the water using a gig to stick the ground or eyes just to see so it was a good way to see the whole one's come up.

Great finds! Love that Barber dime and bottle you found.

Great day Pete, The dime is in great shape, had to be an in and outer to look that new. Bottle digger from eight to my early teens. Like the small bottle. What exactly did the bottles contain at one time?
