Me and Alabear went today for a couple hours and actually could'nt dig because the ground was frozen for the first few hours and we were just going to call it a day and wait till tommorrow. Even though the ground was frozen I still tried to dig a few signals on the way out of the field, and struck a little bit of Confederate gold on the way out. We really only hunted for about 2 hours after noon. I never expected to see this big Confederate staff button in the dirt clod. The button measures 23mm and has W. Dowler/ Superior Quality on the back. Well all I can say is what a great start for 2010. Years ago I had found a Georgia style CSA rectangle in a field nearby and new there had to be more Confederate relics close . WO
