Not much to show for a 90 minute hunt unless I bothered to take a picture of all the trash I dug up. But I love the machine so far. Anyone have a clue to what the "1" coin may be? Any identifying details are worn off.

Congrats on the 3 center, those are not easy to find. One of the better looking ones i have seen for being dug.

Is the charm silver? Nice finds. HH ALL

not bad for 90 hunt minute, at least where I am, I would call it a very good hunt

Amazing III Cent!!!

Super nice 3 center. Congrats on an awesome little find!

Sweet 3 cent. Could the big 1 coin be an old metal poker chip?

That 3 cent nickel must've been dug out of a collection rather than the ground.

Yep , that three center is a special find - they don't come up very often - that would make my month .

That would make a lot of sense actually. For now that's what I will go with unless someone can tell me differently.

While I know what you are trying to say, the only coins I have is from detecting. It's possible the coin was stolen from some kids parent's collection or something like that tho. If that was the case I would expect to have found it in some sort of protection.

Nice finds! Great detector is it not. I see you had the Ace 250 also. I just bought that one for my younger daughter who is becoming more proficient with detecting. I am saving some $ back for an AT Pro Gold to add to the arsenal... Happy hunting...

It's a great detector so far the recovery time is 100 times better then the Ace 250. It's funny I just got done feeling 100% comfortable with the Ace 250 and now I have a whole new machine to learn.

Gorgeous III cent! I haven't found one yet, hope to soon. Congrats !!!

I'm surprised to see you post a comment like that. :icon_scratch:

Why would you be surprised? The coin bears no signs of tarnish from ever having been in the ground. I'm stating a fact--a fact which should be obvious to anyone who has ever dug an old coin made of nickel: A nickel will tarnish even after a month laying on top of the ground.

You've dug old coins, I suppose. Have you ever dug a nickel?

This one obviously fell out of a collection or was dropped by a thief of a coin collection or spent by someone who was old and senile and spent their coin collection on McDonalds coffee and was lost by the worker who took the "funny money" home after it ended up in the cash drawer, and the coin had to have been recovered on top of the ground sooner than four weeks after it was lost. That has to be it. :icon_sunny:
