I really like how every time you go out hunting you learn new things. Today the beach was offering up LOTS of targets with minimal trash. I was killing it on pennies initially and was thinking I was in the wake of some pro, but then I found this....

The diamonds test as real, but I'm using the HDE Diamond Selector II, which I've heard does not detect a certain type of fake diamond (mossanite ?). Anyone got any input on that? The ring is stamed 14k and weighs 3.0g. It's pretty big for a woman's ring. My wife informed me however that those 4 stones mounted like that is a kind of a cheap attempt to make the smaller stones look like a big solitaire, so it's probably not that valuable. I don't know much about jewelery so I was all excited when I found it. It sure looked cool in the scoop!
Smashed my penny record, 68. The treasure to trash ratio was off the charts (my charts at least) and targets were coming quick and easy. The beach was in a giving mood I guess.
