After scoring the seated and barber yesterday decided to hit another park this morning before returning to the park that yielded the silver. The first park gave me my first large cent a nice little button! To bad the large cent is pretty toasted cannot see a date but it’s still a large cent! The next spot I got 8 wheats, a Indian head penny, a 10 cent token of sum sort, and a nice old key. All in all a good day no silver but they all can’t be silver days! Congratulations on your first large cent! The large cent had evaded my coil for my first two years of detecting before I eventually found one.

Good stuff, large cents seem like a great coin to find. Thanks for sharing!

Looks like a Braided Hair Large Cent, 1839-57. You’ve got some great parks to hunt. Congrats!
