Was swinging at an old farmstead (founded aprox. 1750-1775). Found a large cent that was super thick and not the correct coloring at all. Upon further inspection at home. I could just slightly bend it a little which leads me to believe that it is either pewter or lead. Please if you know anything about these i would love any other info. Also found some flat buttons and a neat round ball button with a shank on it. Other coins where from a home i did earlier in the day. Thanks for any info and looking D4A2F63B-0893-4E7A-B1E9-2ABEF83A1344.webp996DCA63-5431-49E0-99D9-606D851A77A4.webp4CD12408-D3A9-4483-A0AA-1FCF405EFB17.webpBF810621-B9CE-4AB0-84A7-D3A799E7F281.webp7F166130-92D9-41D5-A103-8B25CCBC3699.webp

I just checked it out. Yeah that one looks a little strange. I have a nice thick copper so i know you can find em thicker than normal. I could actually bend the one i found. Try to twist it. I read about the counterfeiting that went on in the mid 1700s after i found a KG2. . Cant find the page now. It was interesting reading thiugh for sure.
