Just finished 3 hours swinging the 540 with the 8" coil. Found $1.53 of coins.
One thing I must say it hits the signal solidly. Actually had to turn down the sensitivity to about 11 O'clock for my area.
I know in the the future I will be digging a lot less trash than my Garrett 350.
I hit modern silver at 6" with no problem and the V8 coil Pinpoints exactly center on the coil. Most were 3" plugs right on top of the signal. Nice.
When in coin mode and finds a signal I like to change modes and raise the coil up a few inches to see what ID I get.
This works great insuring its worth digging.
Next trip I will use the V12 coil and see what it does.
