First Point of the year!! CLOVIS!!

[Bent-Twig]

Hey Folks!!

Although it is not a high grade Clovis , it is what it is. I found this one today and it is the first point of the year. Found quite a few , and I hear more rain is on the way. I had not found a clovis point in about 10 to 12 years so it was a very nice hunt.

Very nice finds Bent Twig. That's the second Clovis found and posted on here in the past week. I found one in southern Ohio just last week myself.

Congrats on the great looking Clovis and your other finds.

I say yours deserves the Banner too. They are a rare point to find, especially in Ohio and any one that is found is Banner worthy in my eyes.

It has been a crazy couple of years since Tenneco closed up. Finding a good job in this economy is pretty tuff. I am now a manager of quality control at a buisness down here in Huron County. Just getting used to the job so I havent been able to concentrate on my hobbies. Hopefully I can settle in now and get back to the things I like to do.

DBLSKI- that point you are referring to is a Jack's Reef or intrusive mound point with tip damage. Take another look and you will see it.

For the nice comments and the banner votes! Even though the little Clovis is a great find for me , I am not sure that it is worthy of being up on the banner with all of the great finds others have found. I am very happy to have found it and it really meant alot to me as the first point of the year for me . Hopefully it is a sign of things to come this year. As soon as the rains let up I will be out again. I must admit though that as I walked the field yesterday , I was daydreaming of finding a Paleo , and there it was !!
