We have had a White’s Classic Pro for 3-4 years, bought it for an aged aunt who was interested in it. I have used it just a few times in modern soccer parks near where I live in suburb, just find clad and soccer cleats, pull tabs. TODAY I decided to go to an old (100 year old) Indy park maybe find some silver coins or wheaties. Third hit today right against a 2 foot dia. maple tree at 3-4 inches was this 14K ring with 7 stones (not sure if they are diamonds). I have learned from this forum where to hunt in parks, under trees is a great spot. Kids play under them, they climb them, folks sit under them. Gonna go back to an older area of the same park and some other old Indy parks later when my BP is lower. Wish me luck. Aeroboy.

Beautiful ring! Hope the stones are real!

Nice ring  but I found out the hard way that 14K doesn't always mean real diamonds... these turned out to be CZ's but at least it was real gold (14K also). I took it to 3 different places before I would believe it though LOL. Happy hunting and welcome to TNet,

Charlie

I hear you on the CZ. Honestly, I‘d be ecstatic to just find a silver coin, have not found one yet. Never dreamed I’d find a gold ring especially on my 3rd dig of the day. Aeroboy

Welcome to T-Net and I hope that is the first of many good finds for you. That is one lovely ring :headbang:

WTG on the ring, excellent find! Welcome to TNET!!!

Congrats and welcome to TNet!

Gold is gold... the stones being real diamonds would just a bonus!!!

Nice job!

Welcome to the treasurenet. Now that you found gold there is no going back. It only gets worse from here the addiction :help:

I hope they turn out to be diamonds. I found two diamond rings in two days at the beach a few weeks ago. Well, at least one turned out to be diamonds. The second one was tested and the guy told me it wasn't a diamond and it wasn't a cz, so who knows what it is.

I hope you find some old silver there on the next hunt. That's another addiction once you find it.

CONGRADULATIONS AND HOPE YOU FIND MANY MORE!

Great find - And if you have to pay any more than $25 or so for an appraisal, consider getting a diamond tester, which you can get for even less than that ,,, Or more.
I'd recommend a mid range one, $50-$60 or so.

Welcome to T-Net Aeroboy! And big congrats on finding gold so soon.......Took me a good while before finding my first!
