We have had a White’s Classic Pro for 3-4 years, bought it for an aged aunt who was interested in it. I have used it just a few times in modern soccer parks near where I live in suburb, just find clad and soccer cleats, pull tabs. TODAY I decided to go to an old (100 year old) Indy park maybe find some silver coins or wheaties. Third hit today right against a 2 foot dia. maple tree at 3-4 inches was this 14K ring with 7 stones (not sure if they are diamonds). I have learned from this forum where to hunt in parks, under trees is a great spot. Kids play under them, they climb them, folks sit under them. Gonna go back to an older area of the same park and some other old Indy parks later when my BP is lower. Wish me luck. Aeroboy.

GOOD LUCK MY FRIEND!!!! Parks are gold mines.. quite litterally as you've already discovered. Great job on the ring find. When you go back to the park, or parks.. besides checking out all the bold trees.. look for anywhere else a person may have plopped their backside down to rest or sit and chat a bit with someone else. That being things like rock fences, benches, old fallen trees, big rocks, or even just a small rise or embankement alonside the walkways (side walk or whatver pathways there may be) ESPECIALLY if they are shady or might provide some shade during the heat of the day.
Again.... Good Luck, and have fun!

~Happy Hunting~
