First post but it's a good one! Morning hunt with NepaDigger7!

This morning myself and NepaDigger7 went to an old church camp which has a nice pond and plenty of room to hunt. In the search for a older area of the property I came across a 11/41 on the Etrac. Thinking it was a penny I dug down about 6-8 inches. Well come to find out it was a coin purse filled with 13 wheats and 3 Indians all nice and green. Some have areas that are still shiney. After closer inspection all the pennies range from 1902-1915 and go figure there is a 1909 vdb in the bunch. Between the two of us we found about 26 wheats. It was a good morning but no silver for me. Well I'm sure we will be going back tommorow so hopefully we'll have another story for yas!

Very nice find of the pile of copper . Always wanted to dig a coin purse

Congratulations on all those cool finds. Just something about those IHC

yeah man u got lucky lol actually it was ur luck that there wasnt any silver in there!

That is so cool! Still waiting to find a purse! Great find!

Nice dig ! I want to dig a full coin purse !!! How kind that you got some Indian Heads too ! Welcome to T-net !

Welcome to TNet.

Nice haul my man... I like the IHCs... and a VDB in the mix... very well played. Best of luck to you!

Hey,you can't beat that hunt with only one kneel down. Go back.

Sweet find, I found a calculator with the leather cover early this year and my heart was thumping thinking it could be a change purse, I can imagine the feeling of it actually being one...:notworthy:

Congrats on that old copper haul, yu don't dig them every day. :occasion14: You can check that one off the ole bucket list.

Now that is a load of copper.. Awesome job

Great finds... That coin purse is awesome. But my favorite is your Winchester Model 1894 lever. That's one of the most popular rifle models ever produced and while it's been almost continuously made since 1894, I am fairly certain that lever would date to the early 1900's. Awesome digs!

really neat to get that coin purse with the Indians and wheats!, I bet you were pumped!, great day out, perfect weather for it!

congrats!

Thanks for everyone's replies! Yeah I was a great day. NepaDigger said the same thing about the model 94 lever it's awesome! Defibately a bucket list find with hitting that coin purse. We changed our ways of digging and now just dig almost every repeatable signal. Hopefully tommorow we will find some post worthy coins/items!

See u shortly man!

Welcome aboard TNet! Congratz on your hunt! That's pretty cool finding a 1909 VDB! I'm assuming that you have already scoured the front for an "S" mint mark!

By the way, nice post, glad that Nepa has some influence. Looking forward to your future finds and posts.
