Hello everyone I just got my very first metal detector at the end of October. This is something I have always wanted do! I have not had much time to detect but today I found my first silver! It's a 1951 dime. Here are a few pictures of my finds so far. I don't know what half this stuff is?

congrats on your first silver man and I am still finding alot of things I cannot figure out what it is but it all part of the hobby. The Part of an old flint lock rifle bottom of the middle picture now go find the rest of the gun,lol just kiddin Enjoy the ssite and the hobby,

Congrats on finding your first Silver, Other than the Clad change the only thing I see to catch my intrerst is in the second pic. But it's not the toy gun Hammer, It's the piece right above it The round thing with the slots around the edge, It's apart of an old parrasol ......................HH

What looks like an old muzzleloading gun hammer is off a toy gun. Looks to me like you are doing things right, keep it up and the good stuff will be coming your way. Welcome aboard the forum.

It is part of an old umberlla,They would use them to keep the sun off the ladys. Very cool find.

Cool Stuff Man!...I would keep any of the random things you find, As When i first started detecting, I really didnt know what half the stuff I was getting out of the ground, and after seeing other posts, and asking questions, found out some of it was good stuff!
