First river walks of the year. Gold, Silver and Glass! Found a jewelry box!

Hello treasure hunters. Got the waiters on for the first time this year. After getting way to close to a turkey and standing my ground, I was rewarded with this Hutch bottle. One and done.

Today I found a jewelry box full of junk. However there was some treasures. 2 gold and 2 silver studs. Good day for sure.

Thanks KS. It's one of the gold colored presidential dollar coins. I think it was Grant or Garfield on it.

Thanks fellas. I was shocked that there was anything in it as well. Found it just below a bridge so someone tossed it over after a theft most likely.

Thanks Blak Bart! Was a great couple outings. It certainly does look that way in the picture. I'm not sure if they made uranium glass hutch bottles? I'll have to check it with a black light and let you know. It's probably just the lighting and it being wet in the picture.

Nice going. Many years ago a home near me was broke into . A large jewelry box was taken and thrown into the the Stream police asked me to see if i could walk it and see if i could detect any of the jewelry but I never found any after about a half mile walk

Lovely Hutch bottle, just laying there waiting to be saved.
I'd be getting the studs tested to see if the stones are real.

Probably a throw away for some reason, theft, or a jilted partner that threw her stuff out.
Sometimes even the lass throws the jewelry away if there was an attachment to a soured relationship.

What ever the reason the little hoard is now yours, congrats.

Whenever I dig up a tin can, box or a jar with a lid, I think “maybe full of coins”. Never once yet. I’m jealous too.

Even with the large portion of costume jewelry in that box, it’s a rare and memorable find. It just doesn’t happen like that a lot. Congratulations!
