Just mucking about around my apartments today, and found this New Foundland 1888 silver 20 cent piece! First silver, oldest and first foreign! Not much else but some older clad in this new spot of mine, but i'm sure there is more!

Compared to US mintage figures, your Newfoundland 20 cent piece is 'rare'; only 75,000 minted.
Weight: 4.7g .925 fine silver (1.401 ASW)
Nice 'find'.

Nice find, especially for down here in FL. :icon_thumleft:

awesome find! I'd be digging more around home if I were you! :hello2:

Thanks for all the info and replies! I should really give my Gf credit, she was swinging and I was digging. At first I thought it was a quarter, but then I realized it was way cooler. And was I read 1888! I'll be hitting that spot a little later today, after I check out another 1800s settlement spot I've been researching! There's lots a trash, so it's gonna take awhile to clear it out with the little coil.

Wow never know what ur gonna find

That is a nice find. Don't see those posted ever.
