Yeah, I did some research yesterday, wondering what it would have been like had I CRH in college, about 10 years ago. At that time, silver was down quite low, about $5/ozt, with a 40% being worth maybe 80 cents. Bear in mind, that's the same price it was worth in 1984, when I was a teller. So even if you had known about them, you most likely wouldn't have hoarded them like we do now. When silver's at $5/ozt for decades, you really don't expect it to go higher, and saving coins with a face value of 50 cents that are only worth 80 cents is not good business sense. I sold all my silver back in the 80's, when I needed the money. About the only things I kept from my teller days were the error coins and the foreign coins, some of which turned out to have silver in them fortunately.
