If it says an S or .925 or sterling silver. Those are the ways u can tell if its silver. :) GOod luck!

Hi CC

Is it attracted to a magnet?

It kind of looks like a zipper pull to me,
but you never know...I hope it is silver!!

how can you tell on the detector though. or do you dig every thing

It all depends on the detector. Some have digital ID's that often can give you a fairly high chance of knowing what you've found (dime, penny, gold, pulltab etc...)

Alot of detectors have descrimination abilities that "mask" signals from things like pulltabs and foil (although you risk losing gold and small items).

I may very well be incorrect, but I don't know that there's a detector out there that will tell you if something is silver or not. My detector only has different levels of descrimination and depending on whether there is alot of trash or not where I'm hunting I may or may not use it. On top of all of that, I personally think every detector has a "personality" to it and as the owner, the more you use it, the more you start to be able to identify certain sounds and guess with reasonable precision what the item is you've found before you dig it.

Thanks. Not silver. I dig the good or ok signlas.
