First silver of the year.

Hey folks, went to a tiny old baseball field/park and got my first silver of the year. Registered a 36 on the Quattro and was about 5 inches down. 1939 d.

Thanks buddy, it's actually really small and the ground is full of gravel and pull tabs, I mean FULL...I have have gotten a lot of wheaties out of there but this was my first silver from that site. I have to go at a snails pace to pull any decent targets out of there but I'll keep at er.

I agree DnD Last year I was at a park that was suposed to be shot to death and I can tell you I recovered 37 mercs and 7 rosies all deep and most were in among the pull tabs . Slow and steady . There are more there.

I have a site like that too, and there was a point where I just quit looking for coin signals and surrendered and dug every signal, all the tabs, in a small little areas at a time, and I was amazed at what I was able to turn up over the course of time that I probably wouldn't have found otherwise. Nice merc!

Thanks guys, I will probably go back and try to dig every signal...it gets old digging pull tab after pull tab but I imagine there might be a ring or two hiding in there somewhere.
