As shallow as 2 inches, and as deep as 6 inches. Most being towards the deep end.

ya, lame is digging up zinc all day or talking crap about a hunter finding silver. You ask me finding a single silver coin makes my day or two. I've found five silver dimes total out of let's say a 500 coins and 800 plugs dug. A person that does not enjoy MD'ing might think that's lame. But I'm sure alot of people on this forum including my self agree that's awesome! And those indians and silver have me beat. Gd job hh

I'm still waiting to find my first silver. Oldest is a wheat cent and some cool CW relics so far. To find one silver in 2013 would be awesome. I just can't wrap my brain around the people that find a hundred or more in a year. My time will come though.

yes it will. I thought it was impossible for me. I hunted all day at a local park that was the first park in my city that dates back to 1800's. I found next to nothing. I came home went out to my front yard . Five minutes later my first silver! You just never know. But the feeling is one of a kind. Hope ,no, you will experience this, good luck & hh

I told my wife yesterday. Md'ing is like deer hunting. When I find clad it's like seeing deer while in my tree stand. But when I find a silver it's like dropping that buck that I've seen that always kept his distance just far enough I could not get a shot. It gives me the same feeling. Got to love it!

I'm just in the frame of mind that I can't find it if I don't get out there. For that reason I get in as much detecting as I can. Or at least as much as my seven year old can handle.

ya I know what you mean. I have a 7 & an 11 year old. They keep me busy. lol If my yard didn't kick ass I'd still be searching for my 1st silver too
