Finally, Finally, Finally...;. Nice weather for detecting, and boy, doesn't it feel great!
Here are my finds,

The sword scabbard chape was a surprise. I found two thimbles, one much older than the other. I really like the sunburst pattern
flat button- the shank is intact, but there is no makers mark. The highly ornate object is Victorian period but I'm not sure what it is.
The brass casing has holes which suggest there was a similar lid to it. I also stumbled upon a huge trash and bottle pit that I'll have to
go back to and do a partial excavation The top layers are turn of the century.
Hoping many more are enjoying their first hunts after such a long cold winter. HH everyone

Got out today for the first time. Still lots of snow but I did ok. I've got a post here somewhere. Hey can you show me the back of the Victorian item
