Hi All,

Nice website!

Last February I bought several acres on Pine Mountain in Kennesaw, Ga. General Polk was killed just behind our house. Much of this area has been metal detected for many years I suspect, however I just purchased a new detector and found this bullet yesterday. After research, I believe it to be and Enfield. It appears in nice condition, with the wood plug still lodged in the base cavity. Looking forward to more finds here.

You may be right but I suggest you put a magnet on that. The "wood plug" may be what is left of a shaft for a target arrow.
Welcome to Tnet.
