Title pretty much says it all, I was recently privileged to do my first relic hunt on a plot of land that's more or less all that remains of an otherwise lost battlefield. What I don't know is if I found anything at all or just a bunch of rusty junk. Any and all help appreciated!

Note: the last photo is what I could salvage out of what I can best describe as an iron ball or wad. Despite careful handling on my part, it more or less disintegrated in my hands when I pulled it out of the ground. The metal and dirt had basically become one with each other.

Also, the 1st photo looking down on what I think (or hope) is a small section of musket barrel, there are definitely two holes with what looks like a remnant of wood in between them, if that helps anybody at all.

It always hard to determine those old Iron Pieces .

I do agree with fyrffytr1 , "bottom left looks like the remains of a pocket knife."

Keep a Diggin , & you will get some cool stuff, if u already have not found Id'able stuff by now .(Jan, 21 2016).
