First V Nickel & Silver Barber Dime for me

Finally dug my first V nickel the other day, 4" down, JFK half was less than an inch down...spent 5 hours today 9am-2pm digging in the woods, found the Barber Dime at 5" down, sounded loud & clear just like that 1/2 Reale i found last month.

I can't remember what the VDI read, but sure did not read as a nickel. it actually looked better with the dirt still on it than it does now. (was trying to see if it had a mint mark).

Re: First V Nickel & Silver Barber Dime for me

Good Job. I still haven't gotten my first V nickel yet. Oldest one I have so far is a 1915 Buffalo. Congrats on the Barber.

Congratulations on your first V Nickel!

The Barber Dime is also a great coin. Those Clorox caps are a good indicator of old ground.

Nice job!

That barber dime is sweet indeed..........on my most wanted list. I know of only one hunting location where it may be possible. Don't know how many years it will be till I find that little sucker. Nice finds bro, congrats.

Re: First V Nickel & Silver Barber Dime for me

Very nice stuff. V Nickels are fun to find even if they look bad. Unlike Buffalos you can always get a date.
