First wages

Took a chance, 90 degrees in the shade, went for a walk anyway.



Managed about 2 hours in the heat. Found about the same rate as my first hourly wage.

I thought I had a silver but......



.....not.

At least I tried.

Thanks folks! It is a very nice thing just to have a place where one can share their finds. No matter how boring/few.

Its getting so that I'm losing interest...again! Last time I did that it lasted for about 10 years!

Every time I dig anymore there's this great disappointment when its "just another clad".

I know, better than most, that it's always that way until something shows up to whet the appetite again. Never know when, where. Always fun when it does. But.....my batteries are running out of charge.

Not enough to quit....just yet. But I gotta admit, its getting close.

Anyhoo....thanks for the support, especially during my down times. You guys are great!

About the same amount as my first job also bagging groceries about $1.25 an hour back then. Well at least you came home with more than you left with.

When I have a slump I convince myself that getting out and walking a nice place in peace is my real reward and when I truly expect to find nothing-Blam, I find something good! That's happened to me so many times detecting and artifact hunting that I know there's something to it.

When I have a slump I convince myself that getting out and walking a nice place in peace is my real reward and when I truly expect to find nothing-Blam, I find something good! That's happened to me so many times detecting and artifact hunting that I know there's something to it.

Welp, I am trying to keep the drive. I probably know more about this "syndrome" than most. Still....beep, dig, quarter, ............clad.

Its starting to make my heart drop every time. I used to just go after the next one. Maybe the next one!

Never know when nor where.....still....well...you know.
I'm just having trouble continuing to lie to myself.
