I’m all setup to do water hunting this year. Kayak, AT Max, life jacket... So I end up in a little steam today outside Winchester, VA today. After digging trash from trenches all afternoon. Not much luck there.. Decided to check the creek. Aquachigger always finds his stuff right on the bottom.... Nope! Gotta dig! Finally decided to dig a great signal in the clay. Bam! A numberedEnfield Butt plate! Then it was to go. My buddy dug a bayonet at the same time... We hiked out and are headed back tomorrow! Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Sweet butt plate, I can hardly wait to see what you get out of there next! And can we see a shot of your buddy's bayonet?

Yup watching Beau detect in the river is like poetry-in-motion! :laughing7:
Congrats on your plate find, best of luck on your return.

What a great couple of saves. Winchester definitely had so much activity during the CW, changing hands 46 times. I wish you continued success there. Congrats!!:occasion14:

Here's a post on first page about the star. Looks the same.Screenshot_20200620-134456_Chrome.webp

Yeah. It’s my post. I didn’t think it was much until someone told me.

The condition of the Enfield butt plate is out of this world. If I found that I think I'd spend the rest of the summer water detecting that place. Congrats.

great finds keep an eye out for bottles
