Got out this morning after work for a little while at a ball field that's been around for quite awhile.

Pulled out a wheat penny and didn't realize it was an IH until I got home. It was right along side one of the 4 soda cans I dug up (still getting the hang of my MXT)

Not sure what this item is, a leg band for a bird maybe?? Seems to be made of aluminum. Pictured with penny.

Here is a few other items I dug over the past few days.

Dug the half a horseshoe, bullet and square nails on my property. Dug up the shaving kit in Clinton County at my buddies camp as well as a "Columbia Gas Company" lock that was cu(not pictured). The other items came from the Ball Field. Quarter hit by mower? One item has Shruderer valve on the bottom. Clad Dime.

WTH on the IH, it looks in good shape. I also like that rusted banana, unreal what the ground can do to a banana :D

Way to go on the indian head! And yes, the aluminum thing IS a band for a pigeon. I know because my dad had a coop of pigeons for years. The writing on the band is normally the owners information. Good hunt.

Nice finds Mike

looks like your Pigeon Band is a 69

hmm yea, that would be nice to check out.

Our property was farmland waaaay back so the horseshoe isn't way outta place. Still neat to find on our land though. Was also good practice for the electrolysis treatment.

I was pumped it was a wheat penny when I found it......then to see it was and Injun was awesome. I'm hooked.

good job on your IH. hope you find some more....Tex

Nice Indian Mike........congrats!!

Thanks for the compliments. Been looking into the pigeon band. Found this site which must be what the AU stands for.

http://www.pigeon.org/

Year must be 69 like Jeff stated, and I'm assuming the PGC is club name and 699 is bird ID?

Would be neat to get in contact with the club if its still around, still looking.

Hmm might be onto something.....Pine Grove is about 20 minutes away.

Congrats on the IH. Your yard needs more attention with stuff like sq nails coming out of it.

Just an idea if this was found in PA, PGC might stand for Pennsylvania Game Commision, I had found a tag once with the same letters and called them and it was thiers, although they never said what it was from, they just wanted the numbers off of it. It is possible they tagged a golden eagle, hawk, or something. Just a thought, Nice Finds
