I've had my equinox 800 since about the middle of August. At this point in my life I can hunt for about an hour daily, other obligations dictate that. Have dug several newer coins but still, I've been a little frustrated with what I'm not finding. Went to a local park today, one I've hunted before and one I've seen others hunting. Found a new nickel right off the bat. A few feet away I found a wheat penny, "FINALLY!!" I thought. A couple feet away I found another wheat penny. Dayam, first wheatie and also the second on the same day. Then, I found another and it occurred to me, if there are this many wheaties there's got to be silver too. Almost immediately I dug a silver dime. None of them were all that deep, in fact, the deepest target I recovered was a zincoln cent. One of the wheat pennies had a piece of rusted wire in the same hole. Today's finds
41, 51d, and 56d wheat pennies and a 53d Roosevelt dime. Can't wait to go back tomorrow!

Where there's wheat there's silver! Congratulations and welcome to TreasureNet!

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!! That Nox800 will get them!!!

How intimidating was the Nox to learn? So many settings. I've thought about getting one but I'm not much of a techie. Gary

I am such a novice with this machine and am definitely still learning. The first thing I did, at the advice of another member was to buy a book with in depth explanations and instructions to use it. That was money well spent. As I begin to understand the machine more the controls and settings make more and more sense. It's like anything else, practice and spending time with the machine are key.

Nicely done Steve,,

Well, since you asked :)

I did get a chance to go back for a few minutes and found another wheat penny, haven't really cleaned them up yet

Congrats on your Wheats and the silver Rosie.

Nice hunt, Steve. Yep, if you've found a few wheaties, then there's some silver just waiting for you.:occasion14:

That's a great day if you put the silver dime next to a clad you can hear the tone difference I love that about the Nox. Great hunt more to come
