Hi Everybody!
A buddy of mine invited me over to hunt a lot he found, that used to have a small apartment complex on it. He uses a cheapy Bounty Hunter Prospector model (his first detector, first real hunt), so I figured I would use the F2 and leave the Vaquero in the truck. The first signal I get is a solid 68-70, so I dug it and said "Hey at least its copper!" When I turned it over and saw the wheat and was quite pleased. We dug a couple more zinc and copper pennies and I got 2 dimes. So my buddy gets another solid hit and asks me to ID it with the F2. I told him it looked like a dime, but could be a copper penny. So he digs it and is also pleasantly surprised with another wheaty, 1944! My best find for the day is the 1949 wheat and his was a 1944 wheat. It's a small lot so we hit about 1/3 of it, but it was getting late. My buddy definitely got 'the fever' and wants to hit the lot again as soon as we can!
