Fisher F4 Problems
(Sorry it should say Fisher F4 problems for thread title)
I am new to the metal detecting scene. I have went before with friends and family. So I made the decision to purchase a Fisher F4, but it seems like I am having problems with it. I picked it up slightly used but it is practically new.
Problem: No matter how high/low I set the sensitivity it seems to have a ton of false signals. I ground balance it exactly how it says in the manual "bob the detector up and down - slowly turning the sensitivity clockwise till I can hardly hear the beeping". After I ground balance the detector and start sweeping around the yard it seems to go off every 3 feet. Its usually a good tone but when I stop on that location and try and find it, it seems to always be a false positive.
Maybe I am doing this whole process wrong being that I'm a noobie. Any direction on where to go from here would be great! I was planning on making a go-pro video of what its doing.
Let me know!
Thanks!
