Fisher f2 water hunting

Hey guys I was wondering that when you go water hunting in like a creek... Like for instance nine mile creek that's where I usually go hunting... It's like 2 feet deep. But can you use a scoop to pick up your targets when your in the water or do you actually have to go down underwater and look for your target I was just interested to know thanks a lot!!!!!

SCOOP! In two feet of water there's really no other way. Move the biggest rocks to the side and then scoop and pry your way to the target. Water hunting can be hard work, but the rewards are worth it! Usually the sediments will be graded. You will have those big rocks on top and then the smaller rocks and sand underneath. That's where your treasure is!

Oh yeah, wear tough-soled footwear. There are usually all kinds of hazards in freshwater!

RIVERS AND CREEKS IVE HUNTED - VERY ROCKY- I LEAVE THE SCOOP ON SHORE
WEAR GLOVES - MAYBE A HEAVY FLAT HEAD SCREWDRIVER TO HELP MOVE ROCKS
MASK AND SNORKEL - I WILL FAN WITH MY DIVE BOOT IN DEEPER WATER TO MOVE ROCKS
FAN WITH HAND IN SHALLOWER WATER - WATER MOVEMENT USUALLY WILL TAKE SAND AND SILT
AWAY SO VISABILTY IS NOT BAD DEPENDING ON YOUR AREA
USUALLY I WILL REMOVE A ROCK AND TARGET WILL BE JUST UNDERNEATH
SOMETIMES COINS AND RINGS WILL BE SITTING WEDGED BETWEEN ROCKS AND YOU CAN PLUCK
IVE BEEN TO VERY FEW RIVERS - STREAMS - CREEKS THAT I COULD HAVE USED A SCOOP EFFECTIVLEY
BUT DEPENDS ON THE PERSON AND THE AREA
iVE GOTTEN VERY GOOD DOING IT MY WAY - OTHERS MIGHT HAVE A PROB

I use a flat bar or some call it a wonder bar. Curved on one end and flat on the other. Excellent digging tool not only for the river but land use also. The curved end helps you pull the rocks out of the way while the flat end helps you pry them up. On land you can push against the curved end with your hand and dig a nice neat hole. I've owned the lesch(spelled wrong) digger and wore it out. Pry bar beats it hands down. Get one at Wally for $5? or less
