I was wondering if anyone else is having issues with their F22. I have had mine for about 6 months and maybe have only taken it out a few times. I have to run the sens at 1 or else it goes nuts and gives me false readings. I have tried different types of batteries, areas with no power lines, and rechecked my coil connection and made sure my coil wire is wrapped properly. anything I should try before sending it back into fisher? Thanks.

Yes,

call Fisher and talk over your problems!

Can't believe you have been putting up with this for 6 months...does not sound like any kind of enjoyable experience.
Watch any Fisher vid on YouTube and there are a few on the F22...notice how no others work this way.

If yours does this at different sites everywhere it sounds like it might be a bad coil...a rare thing straight out of the factory but it has happened before with many brands including Fisher.
As suggested call Fisher first and foremost before you do anything else, sending in your whole unit might not be necessary but they can advise you further.

You need to get an RA number before you send anything back anyway so might as well pick their brains and get a tech's opinion before anything else.

Suggest you read this first. Electiical Interference It could be your cell phone or security fence or just black sand in coil cover.

Thanks everyone, going to call them on Monday and get a RMA going. I don't believe it is EMI, I borrowed my buddies ACE 250 and ran with no problems. I think its a faulty coil.

So what was it? I would be interested in knowing how things worked out as I now have an F22 myself.

Thanks,

Bill
