It's the last day of the month and I start the day off with 33 silver coins and 3 14k gold rings already in the bag for the month. My knee was hurting and I was worn out, but I want more. Today will be my 9th hunt for the year and most were around 3 or 4 hours in duration.

I headed out to a house that was built in 1952 that's on a large corner lot. I didn't arrive at the site until around 9:00 o'clock. It seemed like almost every target that I got was under a big tree root and trash was everywhere. Finding 9 wheat pennies kept me spurred on.

Finally between two old ceder stumps, I got a big audio sound and the VDI numbers were rolling around 85 and maybe a little higher. I wasn't paying too much attention and I was surprised to see a 1942 Walking Liberty pop of the ground. It was around 11:00 o'clock and I headed for home.

I had the F75LTD-DST hooked up with the NEL Sharpshooter search coil, DST 9.0, 90 on the sensitivity, 4H tones, DE mode and 0 discrimination.

Excellent end to a fabulous month! You should post a "Tribute to January" or something...that is, if you could fit everything in one picture! :laughing7:
We just got 13" of snow so I'm homebound for a WHILE...:BangHead:

Thanks. I already posted my finds for January. http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/tesoro/490511-january-s-silver-coin-gold-ring-totals.html

As you very well know my area is having some great detecting weather. Man 13 inches of snow ain't good. I wish you were here to share in the finds.
