Fishing button?

Hit a private yard of an 1800's house and found this button that shows a guy fishing on the front. The rev. says Sporting Designs, Sept, can;t read the year, then on the lower part under two crossed swords it has the initials JC....anyone have any idea of what and how old on this button?

Sporting buttons of this sort were especially popular in the mid 19th century. Tice lists a British sporting button backmark of "Sporting New Design," c. 1850's-60's. Other buttons bearing the word Sporting as a backmark were of French manufacture. Here's an example:
