Sorry, that is not a double die; it is machine doubling.

By the way, you may want to pay attention to your spelling. This is not a personal attack, but it's just one of my pet peeves. You would be more highly respected if you don't misspell every other word.

I agree but there is actually some Die Deterioration doubling as well! I found some of the first of these back in 1999 when they came out and had many Uncirculated rolls of the 1999-P Jefferson Nickels with the same doubling. Even though they have no real value above face value with the exception of Gem BU coins, I found that some of my' BU specimens were actually sought after by a few folks that collected such Errors. Hey, I am not against making a premium on some coins that I purchased to analyze! HEE...HEE! In all of the years since, I don't think that I ever found a single Denver minted 1999 Jefferson Nickel with the same doubling issues!

It's a shame the coin is so beat up. It kills any value it might of had.
