Fixing The Economy

This is from an article in the St. Petersburg , FL Times Newspaper on Sunday.

The Business Section asked readers for ideas on "How Would You Fix the Economy?"

I think this guy nailed it!

Dear Mr. President:

Please find below my suggestion for fixing America 's economy.

Instead of giving billions of dollars to companies that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan..

You can call it the Patriotic Retirement Plan:

There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force.

Pay them $1 million apiece severance for early retirement with the following stipulations:

1) They MUST retire. Forty million job openings -

Unemployment fixed.

2) They MUST buy a new American CAR. Forty million cars ordered-

Auto Industry fixed.

3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage-

Housing Crisis fixed.

It can't get any easier than that!

If more money is needed, have all members of Congress and their constituents pay their taxes...

If you think this would work, please forward to everyone you know.

If not, please disregard. Then shoot yourself!!!! 1 job opening

That should pretty much cover it except for the medical issue. That wasn't very hard to figure. Why don't we fire all of the congress?

Neutered or spayed so the gene pools isn't further degraded...

Oops...do we need socialized medicine to cover the cost?

I got a better idea. Millions of dollars in coins are in the dirt. Make metal detecting legal at all city, county, state and government areas, so that we can put those coins back into use.

Outlaw executive retirement bonus's. Limit their income to two million a year and a one dollar a year bonus. Employees should take home an income of twenty five percent of these executives to be fair. Or the exec's came do the job themselves.

If they out source jobs overseas then they have to denounce their US citizenship and live there as a member of that country.
