Ok the tide has not been in my favor and with the sand dropping right now my options are limited.

although it makes it easier to grid it is to rough to get to deep. With as rough as it has been during high I reall look for the low spots that the rip is eating away at and try to get in there. As soon as it starts to recede I really look for spots then.

What are some of your tactics that make your hunting more successful?

as always thanks for any input.

High tide is tuff... one thing you can do is work areas that show larger shells and coarser sand near the waterline.
Recent drops washed in with the tide and dense material like gold rings ..ship spikes and heavier items like watches tend to wind up there.
I find alot of fossils in the same areas.
