Hello everyone, I decided to do some metal detecting around an old house site today and I dug this. It's what appears to be a brass flag pole spear finial. I got a little excited because the area is known for civil war activity and I was hoping this went on top of one of their flags or something. Probably not though! Maybe one of you can tell me how old it is. Also pictured is an old part to a lantern I found close by.
