🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Flat Button Backmark

Hi all, dug this button in Cherry Hill, NJ. Front is toast with no details left, but the back still has a few stamped marks that I haven’t seen on a button before now. Judging by the shank, it appears to date to the early 19th century. Under the shank is stamped “CO” assuming company, the outer edge is stamped with letters inside a circle, possibly up to 9 letters as well as stamped or engraved lettering. Stamped/circled letters that I can make out are R(?) E P I T ? ? ? ?.

I figured this could be enough to go off of for one of you oldheads who have dug a thousand of these to possibly identify.

If I could figure out the right way to search catalogs then it would be easier. It’s definitely not one I’ve seen either. If the circles were on the front I would have freaked out thinking it was a GW button but it’s small, size of a modern penny about.

I am pretty sure the letters in the circles read "treble gilt", and the inner letters read "standard color or colour". If it is color it would be American made and date from about 1820-mid 1830s. If it is colour, it would be made in England and date about 1810 - 1830s.

I see it now actually! I’ve dug a few GILT COLOUR buttons but not a treble gilt. Good eye, thanks for the help.
