Flat button I.D. Help!

Found this button at a empty lot recently. Sorta cool reverse it reads Varnum
Fuller & Co. New York (around the outside). The inside reads 163 or 165
Pearl Street.

Buttons obverse looks to be plain,but both sides have some gilt left.

Measures just under 3/4 of a inch in diameter.

Didnt find it in a button backmark site I looked at. Anyone have any ideas ?
