Hi;
Went out to a house site that stubbornly refuses to give up a coin. Beginning to wonder if they were poor folks there. Did manage to pop up a plain flat button that is platinum in color with very little corrosion that leads me to think it is an alloy with silver in it where most flat buttons are brass. Also dug two round balls, some saddle tacks, some kind of winged fastener, what may be a saddle adornment with some of the silver wash still in place. Dug about 15 cast iron cooking pot pieces and a handfull of buck shot by the end of my day.
