Well guys, I don't know how many of you do fishing lures, but that is one of if not my main thing. (Hence the name) Anyway, for any of you that know about these, I gave $2.50 for a p 70 pop r rebel lure. It goes for about $25 or $30. However, this one is a color that I can't find, and some people over on a fishing forum have never saw it either. Hopefully it will bid up and go good. Either way, I'm not going to lose at $2.50 if everything goes smooth.:headbang:

Fishing lures are a bit of a mystery to me. I know there are some that can fetch BIG money and I'm sure those are rare. Generally, I think old wood ones are more popular than plastic ones. I have heard that lures with glass eyes are more popular than painted eyes. I suppose there are people that collect stuff from the big makers like Heddon. But, beyond that, I'm pretty clueless. Any education you can provide will be most appreciated. TIA.

I can only manage to find a small photo of one like yours with a bucktail (top one), no other info on color name though. Could be a P60, looks a little smaller than yours maybe?

Yeah diggumup, I finally found that one on eBay the other day. I figured it was a p 60 also. Hopefully the p 70 will bid up. There was one in baby bass or something like that, that went for $97.

Tallone, you are right, lots of people love heddon. Something else you should look for is Wiggle Warts that say only Wiggle Wart under the bill, South Bend lures, Creek Chub, and Bagley. Not all of these fetch big money, but those all sell pretty well.

Alright guys, I've got it on eBay. Search for it under Pop r p 70 parrot if you want to watch it. I'm hoping it will bid up. I started it at $25 with a $110 BIN. :laughing7:

I must admit I love fishing, but when it comes to lures value I have no clue. But reading this thread has educated me a little on them. I just knew some of them are valuable.

Nice buy - maybe it was left out in the sun for a while? Thanks for sharing...

Maybe have a poll guessing on what the sale price will be?

Yeah, start guessing prices guys. I will guess $1000000000000000000000000000. :laughing7: No, I hope it bids up though.

STUPID ? How do you ship them do you have small boxes or place something over the barbs or what. I seen a whole ton of fishing stuff the other day. But wasn't sure how to package them. And I hope it sells for top dollar.

I normally ship single lures in a bubble mailer. I wrap the hooks up, then wrap the lure up, and then make kind of a little cardboard box to surround it and protect it. Lots go first class wrapped the same way, put in a small box. It is at $31 now!

Thanks for the info Bassmaster hope it goes for a high amount.

Yeah me too. Fishing lures sell pretty good, that is something you should check into. If it tells you anything, I just bought 120 more to resale.

I would take some cheap clear vinyl tubing cut in short pieces slid over the barbs.

Yeah, I've done that too.

Bassmaster96. I was reading your thread and remembered I had picked this one up over a year ago. I just tossed it in my fishing stuff pile. Can't remember where I got it how much I paid, probably not more than a buck or it maybe was in a pile of stuff I bought. Can't find much about it. Can you enlighten me please. Thanks.

97 views, 19 watchers, 6 bids at $38.50, and 3 hours 49 minutes to go. Let's bid up further! :headbang:

Sold for $38.50 with 22 watchers. Not bad for $2.50 invested.

Not bad at all! Half of the watchers were probably us Treasure folks! Good score!
