Flint Flake...

Found this piece of flint today in a hole I was digging. Didn't think much of it other than it's a cool find. But, now after I have looked at it for a while it sort of looks like a crude musket flint in the making. I'm sure it's nothing, but I'm curious what others think.

Tool vs just a rock can be tricky, but I think I see enough flaking to make it a tool. Looks like a side scraper to me.

I find lots of Flint scrapers on the ploughed fields of England, it's very hard to determin what's been hand tooled or flaked, to what's been sculptured by the plough :dontknow: if you found this away from worked land, then there' a good chance of it being tooled :thumbsup:

I find lots of Flint scrapers on the ploughed fields of England, it's very hard to determin what's been hand tooled or flaked, to what's been sculptured by the plough :dontknow: if you found this away from worked land, then there' a good chance of it being tooled :thumbsup:

It was found in the woods. So, it has not been plowed or anything like that. Plus there is plenty of history where it was found. Both native american and military.
