Flint Knapper For Hire?

I'm looking for someone to make some points/ blades from a geode I found. (the entire "rock" is glass-like except for the quartz) I'm located in Central Ohio and would travel about 100 miles if necessary. how big is that pc sometimes you need a pretty big pc of material to get just one point or blade let alone more than that. I'm no knapping expert but ive piddled around at it a bit and that pc you have there looks pretty hard to run a usable flake off. looks like if you struck it then it might just crumble. like i said though im no expert and i dont know how big your rock is (thats what she said) but someone could possibly cut slabs out of it to start a pc and have a blank.

I am a flint knapper and have not ever worked with that material. From the looks of it , as SOHIO said, it would just bust into a bunch of pieces. The only way you might get a head out of it would be to saw it into slabs and maybe get a head or to out of it. I would just keep it as is...

im not an expert but I do knap and have used geodes before because I had so many around the house. The dont work when starting from nodule. I never slabbed one out but it definetly beat up my boppers both copper and antler and crumbled. Its a great piece the way it is.
