To me, this looks like a hunk of flint from which smaller pieces, a fair number, were hacked, and not just the result of hard knocks here and there. Found in a stream bed at a geological level where flint nodules should be expected to be found.

I don't recognize the first one as a type I usually find. It could be related to the grey/tan stuff I told you about. The second one looks like "mean white" that has iron staining and patina. To make useful tools, you need slightly bigger pieces that are nice and clean and crack free. I'll post some glacial nodules and points here later today. Gary
