Interesting info, are there any river cobbles that they may have used to bust the nodules out?

No river cobbles, just flint deposits in the limestone. this limestone ridge is about half a mile long. There are pits dug in along the southern side, and the flint varries in color and quality. The entire southern side is littered with waste chips and broken blanks a few feet thick.

Some where you will find hammer stone's, they are there you just have not ran up on one or plowed up one yet. Cool stuff!!!

Very cool! We have turned up some nice chunks of what looks like mined Jasper here on our property. I Don't think it was dug here, but there is a known deposit near here. Thanks for the view of something a little different.
