Anyone know who makes a floating water sift and who makes a big looped handle scoop.

Any info would help. Thanks.

For the floater, you might try building a wood frame and stapling some 1/4" to 1/2" wire mesh to it and zip tie one of those round tubular pool floaties around the frame.

I did what stony suggested, built one 2' x 2' out of the white pvc wood for decking and wire cloth. Wrapped a noodle around it and fastened it with tie wrap, it works good, but since I mainly hunt salt water it doesn't get much use, too much hassel with wave action on east coast of Florida.

I was looking for who manufactured the sift and scoop. I saw them in the back page of a W&E mag. They are from the east coast.
just cant seem to find them on the web.

Haven't seen the picture on the magazine, mine looks like pictures you posted. It cost me less then $10 to make, most of cost was for the pvc wood decking I used.

Here's one of my seive's this one is only made with 2 inch pvc. I make the same ones with 4 inch too.

Yea I seen them, the cost is $70.00, you can make 10 of them for that price, see the picture of the one i made above, I drilled different size holes on each side. No metal parts either.

Here's the sifter that I use

No metal except valve stem in tube, that way I can use vibra probe to locate targets in bottom media. Connects to belt via 8 ft rope. Carries attached to scoop which sets on my shoulder.
Wouldn't go water hunting without it, period.

Go to your local feed store and buy a horse watering bucket. They are about 12 inches across and 8 inches deep. Drill several 1/2 " holes in the bottom, zip tie a noodle around the lip, tie a 4 foot length of 1/4" rope on it and go hunting. Plastic is heavy duty or for a little more get a rubber one. You can check for the find with the detector, its lightweight and all total cost less than $20.00 and it'll never rust. Used mind at Treasure Island and it worked like a charm. I'll post a photo later.
