🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Floral brass disc

This is confounding me. Pretty brass disc attached by a clasp to a smaller brass disc. Seems like its purpose was to unfold. Could be a money clip. The back of the non floral disc had a thin rectangle of brass that fell apart. A very small corner still remains. Size is between a quarter and 50 cent piece .What is it?

Maybe a clasp for a shawl or cloak?

Not sure but I love the design. Reminds me of some of the 1800’s flower buttons I’ve dug in the past.
