This one looks amazing under a magnifying glass, probably more amazing under a good microscope. 2 3/8 by 1 1/2 coral Marion found by me in Pasco County Florida.

I'll bet if you backlit it in the dark it would be cool to see.

she makes her mark alright, she’s quite an orange sight

Check out creeks and plowed fields (get land owners permission of course) especially plowed fields by creeks and rivers.
 
Whatever you do please don't experiment with that one by soaking it in light mineral oil. Just don't do it!:laughing7:

I already did some time back, but I like it better this way. When it was soaked the polyps didn't show and I wasn't having that.
