Figure this---you all know that Thanksgiving day,I took a single rose up and just layed it on the wife's headstone.Since then we have had heavy rains,snow,ice and 40-50mph winds.Today Lance and my sis-in-law went by there and when they came back they asked me if I had put a rose on mom's grave.I told them yes and they said it was still lying there and still red.It wasn't and isn't fastened or held in place with anything.I just layed it on the stone.I can't believe,but I do,that it's still there what with the weather we have had.It's been 13 mo since she left and I still talk to her every morning and every night.I really miss her so much.Ok,enough,sorry I got carried away.God Bless you all.

That is so cool that the rose is lasting so long! What is the absolute most cool of all is to see a man still so very much in love with his wife. I wish she was still here with you Daddy! We love you!!

38?!! Wow! Everyone get to packin!! Bobby is busy workin or busy huntin all the time anymore but he doesn't have to pack! lol He was headed out to the woods when he called earlier this afternoon to do some more hunting. So anyone sending him pms be patient...he has not been on in awhile. If it is urgent you find out something let me know and I will make sure and ask him when he calls, otherwise he should be back online within a day or two I think.

Anyway, a little update on FL Panhandle weather.............. be prepared, it's pretty rough out here.......... the other evening I had to wear a JACKET!!! Whooooo....... the things we have to do to stave off the cold here, I tell ya!!
Today it will be 70-75o with a 20% chance of showers. It was 63o at 8:30 am.

That picture with the snake and gator was taken in the Everglades. It was the result of people turning exotic pets loose rather than have them destroyed or placed in a zoo. Large snakes from other countries have no natural enemies in the everglades so they keep growing. It has become a very serious problem down here. All sorts of released pets roam the Glades. Think about that while fishing the back waters in a 10 foot canoe. Yep! that's the truth! Where's me Grog?
